About
Seed to Sprout is a Reggio-inspired preschool program, located in a comfortable home setting in South Jordan, Utah, where students are supported in all areas of development through the most effective method during the early childhood years–PLAY!
Preschool children are primarily in a stage of social and emotional development and these skills blossom beautifully when children are given the time and space to explore through long stretches of self-chosen play. Seed to Sprout is a child-led learning environment with an emphasis on creativity and expression, not rote learning and memorization. Small class sizes of 8 children allow me to adapt to the individual learning needs of each child, meeting them exactly where they are in their development.
Seed to Sprout Preschool is a licensed business through South Jordan City and adheres to the rules and regulations set forth by the city.

I graduated from Utah State University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in early childhood and severe disabilities. I went on to teach special ed preschool for Cache County School District before leaving the classroom to raise a family. During my years away from teaching, I continuously sought out opportunities to work with young children in various capacities.
Once most of my own children were in school full time, I returned to the classroom as a teacher at Discovery Kids Preschool. My time there stirred within me a desire to take on a more direct role in planning curriculum and creating an environment where children can thrive in all areas of development, which led me to open Seed to Sprout Preschool.
I hold a current Professional Educator License for the State of Utah and maintain my membership in the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Utah Association for the Education of Young Children, and Council for Exceptional Children. In 2023 I became a Wunderled™ Approach Certified Educator. This year-long study into child development, pedagogy, and self-development strengthened my resolve to stand up for the rights of children in the classroom and be an educator who takes the lead in creating a new view for what it means to educate young children.
At home, I’m a mom to 5 wonderful kiddos who are growing up way too fast. In my spare time I love to bake bread, play the piano, and dream about my next trip to Disneyland!
